Pearly Oyster offers a full production service from creative development to final product. It could be a film, book or a graphic design job. The studio has a 2d animation studio, with sound facilities, digital rostrum camera and a model animation set-up.

Collage, wire models, computer-generated imagery, watercolours, spontaneous paintings created directly under the camera, Emma Calder is comfortable working in any medium you care to mention and a few more besides. If a piece of work demands a unique and original look, she will invent it. She has worked as a Animation Director, Artist and Graphic Designer and has written, designed and illustrated books, for both adults and children. more…

History

The good old days

Emma Calder and Ged Haney met in 1977 whilst studying Graphic Design at the London College of Printing. After they graduated Emma went to the Royal College of Art to do an MA in Graphic Design and Ged pursued his career as freelance illustrator and composer/musician. Their first collaboration was in 1982 when Ged composed the music for Emma’s film Madame Potatoe. more…
